Contacts Permission Notice

Last updated: 13 September 2026 · Standalone notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

This notice explains the personal data Inly collects if you enable contacts access so payment names can match people saved on your phone.

Shown when Inly requests contacts permission (Android / system dialog), if this feature is enabled on your device build.

Full policy: Privacy Policy · All privacy notices

1. Personal data collected

  • Contact display names (saved names) from your address book
  • Phone numbers associated with those contacts (normalised where applicable for Indian mobiles)
  • Account / device identifiers needed to associate the contact sync with your Inly install or signed-in user (such as user hash, install ID, or advertising identifier)

2. Purpose of collection

  • Show saved contact names for UPI payees and similar payment displays instead of raw numbers only
  • Improve readability of transaction and payment insights that involve people you already saved on the device

3. Required or optional

Optional. Contacts access is optional. Denying permission does not block install or SMS sync. If you decline, Inly will not upload contact names and numbers for this feature.

4. Full Privacy Policy

See the full Privacy Policy at https://inly.digital/privacy/.

5. Withdrawing consent

  • Revoke contacts permission anytime in Android: Settings → Apps → Inly → Permissions.
  • You can request deletion of uploaded contact records by emailing apps@appkhichadi.com.

Additional notes

  • We do not use your contacts for unrelated marketing.
  • Only enable this permission if you want saved names to appear for payment matching.

Data Fiduciary: Appkhichadi DXP Private Limited (Inly). Questions: apps@appkhichadi.com.
